I am not going to write about the rest of it.
There is a process. It involves an entity in another state, four payments, and two people who are not Giselle.
It is slow and it is not finished and it is not mine to put in public, and the only reason it exists is that a chief financial officer with nine years’ service decided to send two messages from inside a cabin.
Aurelio and I are not together.
That happened in the April. Quietly, with no statement, and it is still being arranged and will be for about another year.
There was no scene. There has never been a scene between us, in nine years, about anything — which I used to describe to people as a strength of our marriage.
He has said one thing to me in nine months that I have kept, and it was on a telephone, in the June, at about ten at night.
He rang in the June and said: you could have just told me it was your plane.
And I said: you could have asked, once, in two years.
And he said nothing for a while.
Four seconds, maybe five, on a telephone, which from that man is an eternity.
And then he said fair, and that is the most honest exchange of our entire marriage, and it took nine years and a lawyer to produce it.
His mother and I have not spoken in nine months.
The guarantee stands. I have not moved against it and I am not going to.
Several people have pointed out, correctly, that I could end that woman’s financial life in about four weeks with two phone calls.
I know. That is exactly why I am not doing it, and I would like it on the record that this is not forgiveness. It is that I have watched what happens to people who use the thing they could do, and I do not want to find out what I would be like afterwards.
Giselle is not with the company.
She left in the June, with a package, and she is not in any trouble that I have caused and I have never once mentioned her name to anybody who could cause her any.
