At 16, Doctors Told Me I’d Been Born Without a Womb and Would Never Carry a Baby — I Buried My Dream of Becoming a Mom… But 13 Years Later, One Phone Call Led to the Moment I Thought I’d Never Live to See

The doctor smiled.

“So far, everything looks good.”

But that was only the beginning.

For months, doctors monitored me carefully.

Then came IVF.

My first embryo transfer failed.

I remember sitting on the bathroom floor after receiving the result, crying harder than I had cried in years.

I thought the universe was reminding me that some dreams simply weren’t meant for me.

But the doctors encouraged me to try again.

Weeks later, a second embryo was transferred.

Then came the longest wait of my life.

When the hospital called with the test results, I almost couldn’t answer.

The nurse paused.

Then she said:

“You’re pregnant.”

I covered my mouth and started sobbing.

I had heard those words in movies.

From friends.

From relatives.

But I had never imagined they would be said to me.

At the first ultrasound, I watched a tiny flicker on the screen.

A heartbeat.
